THE CAI
Over time, the objectives have remained the same, but the association has grown considerably, both in the number of members and in the activities aimed at experiencing the mountains in all their aspects through different approaches: mountaineering, hiking, cross-country skiing, caving and more. For these activities CAI relies on the support of highly specialised technical figures in the various sectors and disciplines, including the National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps.
The Melfi section
The Melfi CAI section, established in 2013, organises excursions, cultural meetings in the area, initiatives with local schools, with the Potenza Health Authority, and social outings both in Vulture and in many other parts of the country.
